Stretch Your Legs

Sundays are a great day to rest but if you just can't sit still, throw on a pair of running shoes and hit the road (or trail).

If you run often you know what to do. If you're new to running or are like me and aren't a great runner, start slow and and take your time building your way up to longer distances.

Here's a workout I like to do when I want to get out of the house and get my heart rate up without killing myself;

• Walk .5 mi.

• 10 lunges

• Jog .5 mi.

• 10 lunges

• Run .5 mi.

• 10 lunges

• Repeat as you see fit and don't forget to warm down and stretch post workout.

Getting into good running shape takes time (sometimes many months) so if you're new to it DO NOT shock your body by going too big too soon and listen to those aches and pains, they are your body's voice!
